Why Educator should rather use Learning instead of Education

Back when I started teaching in 2008 as a French and Spanish language tutor I would never imagine that in my early 30 I would be still in the field. But I’m teaching till now on.

Most people don’t understand the difference between Education and Learning. For me education is passing the knowledge from the top to bottom whereas learning teacher and learner can learn from each other. Education is the process of giving knowledge, values, skills and attitudes, which can be beneficial to an individual. On the other hand, learning is the process of gaining knowledge, values and skills.

From the start of the universe, Education has played a big role, but education in Ancient Rome progressed from an informal, familial system of education in the early republic to a based on tuition system during the late Republic and the Empire.

Distance learning is a method of studying in which lectures are broadcast or classes are conducted by correspondence or over the Internet, without the student's needing to attend a school or college. Also called distance education. When I started teaching in 2008, I physically to go my student place or school. In 2017 is no longer the case, most of my students live outside of Canada and I’m using distance learning to teach them.
